Is the EC304L easy to operate for an elderly person?

Yes. The wheelchair uses a 360° joystick for direction control, with speed adjustment, battery indication and horn controls within easy reach. Like any powered wheelchair, a new user should first practise at a low speed in an open area before regular use.

Can someone push the wheelchair manually if needed?

Yes. The EC304L can be switched between electric and manual modes, so a caregiver can assist manually when required. This is particularly useful when the user does not want to drive independently or when powered operation is not needed.

Will it be comfortable for daily use?

The EC304L has a 46 cm wide seat, removable cushioned seating and back support, flip-up armrests and a flip-up footrest. These features are designed to make everyday sitting, transfers and cleaning easier.

Can it handle uneven Indian roads?

The EC304L includes front suspension with additional damping and larger rear wheels, which help absorb everyday bumps and provide better stability on typical roads, pavements and indoor surfaces.

Is it safe on ramps and slopes?

The wheelchair includes tipper wheels for additional stability, along with a seat belt and controlled speed operation. Users should still approach ramps carefully and stay within the recommended incline limits for the wheelchair.

What happens if the battery runs out?

The wheelchair can be changed to manual mode, allowing an attendant to move it manually. Keeping the battery adequately charged before longer journeys is still recommended.

How long does the battery take to charge?

The lithium-ion battery takes approximately 5–6 hours for a full charge. The joystick also includes a battery-level indicator so the user can check the remaining charge while using the wheelchair.

Can I put the wheelchair in my car?

Yes. The EC304L folds into a compact upright form for easier storage and transportation in a suitable car boot. The wheelchair weighs approximately 36 kg, so while it is foldable, customers should consider whether they or their caregiver can comfortably lift 36 kg into their particular vehicle. For some users, two-person assistance may be preferable.

Can I take it on a flight?

The EC304L uses an IATA-compliant lithium-ion battery intended for travel. However, airlines have their own battery and mobility-device procedures, so customers should contact their airline before travelling and obtain any required approval.

Is the wheelchair easy to get in and out of?

Yes. The flip-up armrests and flip-up footrest create more space for transfers, which can make getting into and out of the wheelchair easier for both the user and caregiver.

Can a caregiver use it easily?

Yes. In addition to manual mode, the EC304L has padded attendant handles for a more comfortable grip when someone needs to assist the user.
